INFINITE – artificial intelligence For professional and pedagogical practices in Higher Education aims to make the best use of AI for teaching, learning and assessment in Higher Education (HE).

The project aims to prepare:

  • Academics to use AI for innovative teaching and assessment, promoting students’ understanding of the interdisciplinary nature and implications this emerging technology has in various fields.
  • Students to leverage AI for their learning, through a complementary blended course designed for them.

    The project is based on four specific objectives:
  1. Raising awareness about the affordances and challenges of AI for professional and pedagogical practices in HE.
  2. Developing hands-on resources for HE academics to recognize and leverage AI for their professional and pedagogical practice.
  3. Building HE academics’ and students’ digital competences, readiness and resilience to effectively use AI.
  4. Promoting higher education institutions’ digital transformation through capacity-building and preparedness of the HE community.

PERSONA – Development of a Hybrid Human-AI Personalised Learning Path for VET for Innovation in Agriculture

The PERSONA project aims at supporting the development of measures and programmes needed to develop the human capital needed to improve productivity, adopt new processes and technologies, improve financial planning and business development capabilities, product innovation and research, deliver environmental efficiency and sustainability, marketing, and market development. At the producer level, the project aims at supporting the development of ongoing and lifelong education, training, and knowledge transfer programmes to ensure farmers have the tools and skills needed to develop their enterprises, maximise their profit, and utilise their resources in a productive but sustainable manner. This will require supporting farmers in integrating the latest technologies and processes in their day-to-day operations. Thus, the project focuses on harnessing the capabilities of educational institutions in developing the skills of the European agri-food sector.

List of concrete objectives:

  • To innovate the learning processes, products, and services offered by Agricultural TVET Education in order to build and support and inclusive and connected vocational education and training system, contributing to innovation.
  • To improve Agricultural TVET Education and mainstream innovation into institutional strategies, also through new digital technologies.
  • To enhance the ability of Agricultural TVET Education to provide transversal and technical skills for innovation.

To strengthen the relationships between Agricultural TVET Education and other AKIS actors at a European level.

EGIDEV Project Empowers VET Educators and Learners During Second LTTA in Portugal

The second Learning, Teaching, and Training Activity (LTTA) of the EGIDEV project was successfully held in Arcos de Valdevez, Portugal, from 1 to 4 April 2025. Over the course of four intensive days, project partners engaged closely with local vocational education and training (VET) teachers and students in a dynamic programme designed to strengthen the integration of digital game-based learning into VET environments.

Throughout the activity, teachers received practical guidance from the EGIDEV project team on how to incorporate the educational game developed by the consortium into their teaching practices. This included interactive sessions, hands-on testing, and collaborative discussions. Students also actively participated, playing the game alongside their teachers and offering valuable feedback on its usability, educational value, and engagement potential.

The final day featured a local tourism showcase, highlighting cultural elements directly connected to the game’s content. This was followed by final evaluations and a certificate award ceremony, bringing the programme to a close in a spirit of collaboration and reflection.

The LTTA marked another important step in the EGIDEV project’s mission to innovate VET through playful, place-based digital tools that enhance both teaching and learning experiences.

EGIDEV Project aims to facilitate VET students and teachers in learning and teaching the principles of entrepreneurship by gamification in different business development stages. The objective is to develop, implement and provide the VET community with an educational game where learning by playing will allow for better understanding of digital entrepreneurship and challenges.

“Get Political” Project Kicks Off in Porto to Empower Youth in Political Engagement

The Get Political – Igniting Youth Active Participation in Political and Electoral Processes through Political Literacy and Knowledge project officially launched with a Kick-off Meeting (KOM) held on March 27–28, 2025, in Porto. Funded under the Erasmus+ Youth programme, the initiative aims to strengthen political literacy and engagement among young people aged 15 to 30.

Hosted at Rua Costa Cabral 167, the meeting gathered project partners to define objectives, work packages, and coordination strategies. Key discussions focused on youth political literacy, educational interventions, and communication approaches to ensure broad outreach and long-term sustainability. The consortium also reviewed the initial findings of political literacy research and outlined the next steps and milestones.

Running from November 2024 to October 2026, the Get Political project is dedicated to building the capacity of youth workers and fostering stronger ties between young people and political institutions across Europe. The meeting concluded with a clear roadmap for the upcoming phases, setting the foundation for meaningful youth political participation.

PRIMACENTERS First Networking Event in Cyprus

CARDET and INEK-PEO organised on the 31st of March the first networking event with organisations in Cyprus working with migrants and people from the primary sector. The aim of the event was to present the project and the possibilities of cooperation with the stakeholders. 

During the event, the actions of the project were presented: 

  • The identification of the needs and gaps in existing employment practices in the primary sector across Europe. 
  • The enhanced networking, understanding, and cooperation among key stakeholders at local, regional, national, and European levels to promote the integration of migrants and ensure decent working conditions in the primary sector. 

Additionally, to provide tailored training opportunities for key stakeholders to better understand market demands and the needs of migrant workers, implementing appropriate alignments in the field and to establish local employment centres, providing tailored mapping, matching, training, information, and local integration services as well as a control mechanism.

DISCOVER Newsletter – 3rd Edition: Advancing Digital Transformation in VET

The DISCOVER consortium has been hard at work under Work Package 3 (WP3), focusing on developing curricula and training materials to equip VET providers, trainers, and master trainers with practical tools for implementing digital transformation. Collaborative content creation, alignment with national and EU-level training frameworks, and real-world use cases have been central to ensuring these resources are directly applicable in VET settings.

CARDET: Είκοσι χρόνια καινοτομίας και δράσεων σε 40 χώρες, αγγίζοντας τρία εκατομμύρια ανθρώπους

Στην καρδιά του μη κερδοσκοπικού οργανισμού CARDET, η εκπαίδευση αποτελεί τη μεγαλύτερη δύναμη αλλαγής και προόδου. Με παρουσία 20 ετών και αφοσίωση στην καινοτομία και την κοινωνική ένταξη, το CARDET έχει αφήσει ανεξίτηλο αποτύπωμα στον τομέα της εκπαίδευσης και της κοινωνικής ανάπτυξης, όχι μόνο στην Κύπρο και την Ευρώπη, αλλά και παγκοσμίως. Μέσα από τις δράσεις του, ο οργανισμός έχει επηρεάσει θετικά πάνω από 3 εκατομμύρια ανθρώπους σε 40 χώρες, αναδεικνύοντας την εκπαίδευση ως μοχλό ενδυνάμωσης και κοινωνικής αλλαγής.

  1. Ποιους στόχους είχατε όταν ξεκινήσατε και πώς εξελίχθηκε το CARDET;

Το CARDET από την ημέρα ίδρυσης του στηρίχθηκε στην πεποίθηση ότι η εκπαίδευση είναι ο καταλύτης για κοινωνική αλλαγή και ενδυνάμωση, και όχι απλώς η μεταφορά γνώσης. Ξεκίνησε με μια μικρή ομάδα, αλλά με έναν μεγάλο στόχο: να δημιουργήσει εργαλεία και προγράμματα που θα ενδυναμώσουν πολίτες και επαγγελματίες, δίνοντας ευκαιρίες στις νέες γενιές για ένα καλύτερο μέλλον. Σήμερα, 20 χρόνια αργότερα, με μια ομάδα που αποτελείται από πάνω από 70 ερευνητές και καταρτισμένους επαγγελματίες, παραμένουμε αφοσιωμένοι στην αποστολή μας: να εξελισσόμαστε και να προσαρμοζόμαστε στις τεχνολογικές και κοινωνικές ανάγκες, δημιουργώντας ευκαιρίες μάθησης και συμβάλλοντας σε έναν καλύτερο κόσμο για όλους.

  1. Σε ποιους τομείς επικεντρώνεται το CARDET, και με ποιον τρόπο αυτοί οι τομείς ανταποκρίνονται στις συνεχώς μεταβαλλόμενες ανάγκες της κοινωνίας;

Η κοινωνία εξελίσσεται με ραγδαίους ρυθμούς, και στο CARDET προσαρμόζουμε πάντα τις δράσεις μας στις νέες προκλήσεις. Υιοθετούμε τις τελευταίες τεχνολογίες, αναθεωρούμε τα προγράμματά μας και αναλύουμε τις κοινωνικές τάσεις για να ανταποκριθούμε στις συνεχώς μεταβαλλόμενες ανάγκες. Μέσα από μια συστημική προσέγγιση, υποστηρίζουμε την εκπαίδευση και την κατάρτιση, αναπτύσσοντας καινοτόμα εργαλεία και λύσεις που ενδυναμώνουν την κοινωνία και φέρνουν πραγματικές αλλαγές, εστιάζοντας στις ιδιαίτερες ανάγκες των ομάδων-στόχων μας. Το έργο μας καλύπτει τομείς όπως:

  • Εκπαιδευτική Αναβάθμιση: Ανανεώνουμε συνεχώς τα εκπαιδευτικά μας προγράμματα, ενσωματώνοντας τις τελευταίες τεχνολογίες, καινοτόμες και τεκμηριωμένες μεθόδους και πλαίσια για να ενισχύσουμε την ποιότητα της εκπαίδευσης και μάθησης.
  • Ανάπτυξη των Ψηφιακών Δεξιοτήτων: Παρέχουμε εργαλεία και ευκαιρίες για να ενδυναμώσουμε τους πολίτες και τις επιχειρήσεις με τις κρίσιμες ψηφιακές δεξιότητες που απαιτεί η σύγχρονη εποχή.
  • Ανθρώπινα Δικαιώματα, Νεολαία και Κοινωνική Ενσωμάτωση: Προώθηση των δικαιωμάτων όλων των ατόμων, ανεξαρτήτως φύλου, σεξουαλικού προσανατολισμού, εθνικότητας, ηλικίας, ή άλλων παραμέτρων.
  • Προαγωγή του Ευ Ζην και της Ψυχικής Υγείας: Υποστήριξη προγραμμάτων που προάγουν την ολιστική ευημερία.
  • Βιώσιμη Ανάπτυξη και Επιχειρηματικότητα: Ανάπτυξη λύσεων που οδηγούν σε βιώσιμες πρακτικές και προάγουν τη δημιουργία νέων επιχειρηματικών ευκαιριών.

Με τις δράσεις μας, φιλοδοξούμε να συμβάλλουμε στην οικοδόμηση μιας καλύτερης κοινωνίας, ενισχύοντας την καινοτομία και δημιουργώντας ευκαιρίες που ενδυναμώνουν τους ανθρώπους και ενθαρρύνουν τη θετική αλλαγή. Εκτός από την παροχή εργαλείων, εκπαιδευτικών προγραμμάτων και ευκαιριών, ένα βασικό στοιχείο της αποστολής μας είναι η προώθηση της ευαισθητοποίησης σε κρίσιμα κοινωνικά ζητήματα. Μέσα από τις δράσεις μας, στοχεύουμε στην καλλιέργεια μιας κοινωνίας ενημερωμένης, συμπεριληπτικής και ανθεκτικής στις σύγχρονες προκλήσεις.

Στο CARDET, πιστεύουμε ότι η ενεργή συμμετοχή όλων είναι το θεμέλιο για να διαμορφώσουμε ένα καλύτερο, πιο βιώσιμο και δίκαιο μέλλον, χωρίς αποκλεισμούς.

  1. Ποια είναι τα πιο σημαντικά επιτεύγματα και ορόσημα στην πορεία του CARDET μέχρι σήμερα;

Τα επιτεύγματά μας είναι αποτέλεσμα της συλλογικής προσπάθειας μιας ομάδας αφοσιωμένων επαγγελματιών, που εργάζονται με πάθος για την εκπαίδευση, την κοινωνική ένταξη και την καινοτομία. Μέσα από συνεχή επιμόρφωση, συνεργασίες και αφοσίωση στην αποστολή μας, το ανθρώπινο δυναμικό του CARDET αποτελεί τη δύναμή μας.

Η πορεία του CARDET τα τελευταία 20 χρόνια είναι γεμάτη από σημαντικά επιτεύγματα και ορόσημα που καθόρισαν την εξέλιξή μας. Οι συνεργασίες με διεθνείς οργανισμούς, όπως η Microsoft στην Ασία, αποτέλεσαν τον πυρήνα της διεθνούς μας παρουσίας, ενώ έργα όπως το InterCap, European Teacher Wellbeing and Career Observatory, ProW, SWPBS, PERMA Digital, TINKER  και το ADULtDigital-UP είχαν καθοριστική συμβολή στην παγκόσμια εκπαίδευση και την ενίσχυση των ψηφιακών δεξιοτήτων. Οι συνεργασίες μας με οργανισμούς όπως το Yale, το Συμβούλιο της Ευρώπης, το Πανεπιστήμιο Λευκωσίας και η UNICEF ενίσχυσαν τη στρατηγική μας και μας επέτρεψαν να υλοποιήσουμε έργα που άφησαν και συνεχίζουν να αφήνουν το αποτύπωμά τους στην κοινωνία. Ένα από τα σημαντικά επιτεύγματά μας ήταν η διαμόρφωση της Εθνικής Στρατηγικής για τη Δια Βίου Μάθηση και της Εθνικής Στρατηγικής για τη Συμμετοχική Διακυβέρνηση και την Ενεργό Πολιτότητα. Μέχρι στιγμής, ο οργανισμός μας έχει υλοποιήσει δράσεις σε περισσότερες από 40 χώρες, επηρεάζοντας θετικά τη ζωή περισσότερων από τριών εκατομμυρίων ατόμων μέσω των πρωτοβουλιών μας.

Σήμερα υλοποιούμε πάνω από 150 πρωτοβουλίες και έργα σε τοπικό και παγκόσμιο επίπεδο, ενδυναμώνοντας άτομα σε όλους τους ηλικιακούς και επαγγελματικούς τομείς, από νέους/ες και ηλικιωμένους/ες μέχρι εκπαιδευτικούς και στελέχη επιχειρήσεων, προσφέροντας προγράμματα και πλατφόρμες που ανταποκρίνονται σε ποικιλία αναγκών. Εστιάζουμε στην ενδυνάμωση των ατόμων, προάγοντας την ισότητα, τη συμμετοχή την ευημερία και τη θετική ψυχική υγεία για όλα τα άτομα Το ταξίδι μας αυτό έχει ως στόχο να προσφέρει σε κάθε άνθρωπο τις δεξιότητες, την υποστήριξη και τις ευκαιρίες που χρειάζεται για να επιτύχει, ενισχύοντας τη συνολική κοινωνική ένταξη και προωθώντας μια πιο δίκαιη και συμπεριληπτική κοινωνία.

  1. Πώς προσαρμόζεστε στις συνεχείς τεχνολογικές εξελίξεις, ώστε να διατηρείτε το CARDET στην αιχμή της καινοτομίας;

Για εμάς, η καινοτομία είναι το θεμέλιο της εξέλιξής μας. Δεν την βλέπουμε ως πρόκληση, αλλά ως ευκαιρία να ανταποκριθούμε στις ανάγκες των πολιτών,των οργανισμών και της κοινωνίας. Συνεχώς παρακολουθούμε τις τεχνολογικές εξελίξεις και προσαρμόζουμε τις δράσεις μας ώστε να προσφέρουμε προγράμματα που απαντούν στις ανάγκες της κοινωνίας και των επιχειρήσεων. Επιπλέον, μέσα από συνεχείς εκπαιδευτικές πρωτοβουλίες για το προσωπικό μας και στρατηγικές συνεργασίες με διεθνείς οργανισμούς, εξασφαλίζουμε ότι παραμένουμε μπροστά από τις εξελίξεις, έτοιμοι να προσφέρουμε προγράμματα και πρωτοβουλίες που καλλιεργούν γνώσεις και δεξιότητες που κάνουν τη διαφορά! 

  1. Τι άλλο να περιμένουμε από το CARDET στο μέλλον;

Το μέλλον του CARDET είναι γεμάτο από νέες πρωτοβουλίες και προγράμματα για την ενίσχυση της εκπαίδευσης, της κοινωνικής ένταξης, της υποστήριξης της ψυχικής υγείας και της ευημερίας, καθώς και της βιώσιμης ανάπτυξης και της επιχειρηματικότητας. Θα συνεχίσουμε να ενδυναμώνουμε τη συνεργασία μας με διεθνείς και τοπικούς εταίρους και να αναπτύσσουμε δράσεις που προάγουν τη θετική κοινωνική αλλαγή και την ισότητα, προσφέροντας νέες ευκαιρίες για όλους τους ανθρώπους. EcoSTEAM Project Webinar: Sustainability in Education and Exploring Innovative Approaches to Ecological Literacy in Schools

The EcoSTEAM Project hosted a highly engaging and insightful webinar on Friday, 21 February 2025, as part of its ongoing Erasmus+ funded initiative to enhance STEAM education and promote environmental sustainability among secondary school students across Europe.

Titled “Sustainability in Education: Exploring Innovative Approaches to Ecological Literacy in Primary and Secondary Schools”, the webinar gathered 75 participants to explore diverse strategies for integrating sustainability into educational practices. The event facilitated thought-provoking discussions on how ecological literacy can be fostered through interdisciplinary learning and innovative pedagogical approaches.

The session opened with a welcome and introduction by Ms. Eleni Siaili, CARDET STEAM Education Researcher and Project Manager, who outlined the project’s goals, mission, and impact. Following this, a distinguished panel of experts delivered insightful presentations:

The EcoSTEAM Project is committed to cultivating a new generation of environmentally aware citizens equipped with the scientific knowledge and skills to address global challenges. Through collaborative pilot programs and ongoing research, the project seeks to deepen the impact of STEAM education on student performance, fostering both scientific citizenship and sustainable lifestyles.
