WELLBEING & HAPPINESS AT WORK
EMPLOYEE WELLBEING ISN’T A PERK – IT IS A RESPONSIBILITY THAT NONE OF US TAKES LIGHTLY AT CARDET.
To bring out the best in every employee, our operations are embedded with a number of wellbeing practices to further nurture and promote a holistic and systemic approach to wellbeing.
For us happiness at work comes when:
- We enjoy doing the tasks assigned to us
- We feel right about the people we work with
- We have the scope to improve our existing skills
- We feel respected and acknowledged at work
Spanning from a comprehensive Wellbeing Strategy, a certified Chief Happiness Officer and expert in Positive Psychology applications, flexible working, team building outings to internal courses and training programs – as an organization we stand committed to helping every employee grow professionally and personally. Additionally, we consistently evaluate the effectiveness of our programs, ensuring that they are aligned with the genuine needs of our employees.
Working in a pleasant environment with everyday learning opportunities, amongst colleagues who have a vision for a better world, a strong desire for constant personal growth and a warm heart. This is what CARDET is for me.

We recognise that employees at all levels may have unique needs and preferences for flexibility regardless of gender, age, family status, religion or other factors. We thus offer employees flexible work arrangements, adopting a hybrid work model, to encourage them to choose the structure that best enables their success within our core working hours.
CHIEF HAPPINESS OFFICER AND HEALTH & WELLBEING COMMITTEE
We take pride in being the first organization in Cyprus to appoint a certified Chief Happiness Officer. Together with our dedicated Health and Wellbeing Committee, they work tirelessly to identify and implement initiatives aimed at fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
Joining CARDET has been a game-changer, and I feel lucky to be a part of such a great work family! Amidst the fun, CARDET is committed to professional growth with all the incredible opportunities we are offered to further develop our skills.

TEAM BUILDING OUTINGS AND SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
Building strong bonds among our team is essential to us. Our company outings offer a perfect opportunity for our employees to connect, unwind, and recharge outside of their usual work setting. Whether it’s an adventurous day outdoors or a relaxing retreat, these outings foster a deeper sense of community and connectedness.
Life can be challenging, and we understand that our employees may face personal or work-related obstacles. To support them, we cover (with respect to confidentiality) up to 3 sessions with a licensed psychologist, in addition to those offered by the Gesy programme.
The organization’s commitment to our happiness goes beyond just words; it’s backed by various activities and offerings that nurture our overall wellbeing.

WORK – PERSONAL LIFE CODE OF CONDUCT
We acknowledge the importance of a balance between work and personal life and we believe that when the personal and professional lives are in harmony, the employee’s health, wellbeing and productivity increases. In order to show our support to employees’ efforts in creating and maintaining a healthy work-personal life balance we have developed a code of conduct. According to this code, we adopt a systemic approach and outline both HR policies and procedures as well as the behaviors and actions expected from leadership and all employees to support this effort.
