The experiences and ideas of schools participating in SOCI@LL will be in the epicentre of the project’s first international bench-learning webinar hosted by CARDET on Thursday, February25th 2021. The event brings together schools from Cyprus, Poland, Portugal, and Italy in an aim to build a stronger network among participants.
During the event, schools implementing SOCI@LL’s educative assets will have an opportunity to exchange best practices for further involvement in the project activities and discuss emerging issues linked to the sustainability of the project results. Schools will also have an opportunity to develop strategic action plans for the further use of the resources.
The SOCI@LL educative assets aim to create and sustain culturally balanced and inclusive systems inside and around schools. The project is built-on a five-step participatory approach, seeking to support students’ learning through culturally sensitive curricula, enhance the socio-educational and intercultural competencies of teachers in a bid to foster a democratic and inclusive culture of schools and establish cross-sectoral alliances between schools and local inclusion actors.
For more information about the SOCI@LL activities you can visit the website of the project.
In order to contribute to the improvement of good governance in sports organisations, the GoSport project has developed a comprehensive guide aiming at enhancing the capacities and awareness of sports clubs/organisations, professional and semi-professional sport teams and clubs on implementing good governance principles through social responsibility.
The GoSport guide provides the necessary information on how sports organisations interpret, manage and prioritise social responsibility issues – especially in terms of combating violence, tackling racism, discrimination and intolerance, and encouraging social inclusion and equal opportunities – how organisational governance influences social responsibility and how social responsibility is communicated within the organisations. Furthermore, this Guide provides tools to for-profit and non-profit sports organisations for understanding the relationships among the organisations, its stakeholders and society, and integrating socially responsible organisational governance practices.
If you work in the sport industry and you want to improve your knowledge on how to promote a more inclusive society through CSR activities, download the GoSport guide here.
The GoSport project has a duration of two years and is implemented in Greece, Bulgaria, Italy, Croatia and Cyprus by KMOP – Social Action and Innovation Centre (Project Coordinatior), Bulgarian Sports Development Association, CESIE, IDOP and CARDET. More specifically, the partners focused on the evaluation phase required in order to confine the list of inclusive education practices from CSO’s, grassroots initiatives, migrant-led initiatives, solidarity networks, etc. in partners countries but also outside at EU level. In addition, partners had a first glimpse on the ENACTED platform which was presented and launched.
The meeting was initially scheduled to take place in Greece, however, due to the outbreak of coronavirus the consortium decided to transfer it online.
