DISCOVER Delivers New Training Curricula and Online ToT for Tunisian VET Professionals

In April 2025, the DISCOVER project completed a significant milestone with the development of training resources for professionals in the Tunisian VET sector, and the implementation of an online Training of Trainers.

More specifically, the project consortium developed two structured training curricula: the Curriculum for VET Providers, and the Curriculum for VET Trainers.

The training curriculum for VET Trainers was designed to respond to evolving capacity-building needs by strengthening competences in digital teaching methodologies. The training curriculum for VET Providers was specifically tailored to the digital transformation challenges faced by Tunisian VET centres, by offering a structured framework, practical guidance and targeted training.

Both training curricula follow a blended learning methodology, combining online self-paced learning with face-to-face components. To accompany these resources, a Master Trainers’ Handbook was also produced. The Handbook serves as a practical guide for the trainers responsible for delivering the curricula within Tunisian VET centres.

All three resources have been published and are freely accessible via the recently launched DISCOVER e-learning platform: https://e-learning.discoverproject.eu/

Following their finalisation and publication, the project partners CARDET, UNIC and EUROTRAINING implemented an online Training of Trainers, during which the resources were presented to the group of “DISCOVER Master Trainers” and practical guidance was provided on how to implement them within local contexts. These Master Trainers were nominated by the three participating Tunisian VET centres: CFA Bizerte, CSFAG Ariana and CFA Menzel Bourguiba.

The online ToT was successfully completed, with strong engagement and active participation from the Tunisian trainers, who are now preparing the implementation of the curricula at their respective VET centres with VET providers and VET trainers.

RURACTIVE Partners Gather in Zadar for Key Project Meetings

From April 7 to 9, the RURACTIVE project convened its Steering Committee and General Assembly meetings at the historic Rector’s Palace in Zadar, Croatia. The three-day gathering brought together partners from across Europe to review progress and align on next steps toward inclusive, innovative, and sustainable rural development.

The event opened with the Steering Committee meeting, where work package leaders shared updates and outlined timelines for the months ahead. On the second day, the General Assembly united all project partners for a dynamic agenda of presentations, discussions, and a review of the open call results.

Wednesday featured two parallel sessions: a Local Community Trainer (LCT) gathering focused on community design training, and the first Solutions Analysis Research Symposium. The symposium highlighted research on rural development dynamics, innovation types, and gender-inclusive approaches, followed by interactive workshops and collaborative planning for future outputs.

This milestone event reinforced collaboration among partners and laid the groundwork for the project’s next phase. Activities continue through April 11, with peer-to-peer exchanges aimed at hands-on learning and local knowledge transfer across pilot regions.

GLITTER Project Kicks Off in Athens to Promote Digital Well-Being in Schools

The GLITTER project officially launched with a successful kick-off meeting on April 9, 2025, in Athens, hosted by Konnektable Technologies. The event brought together the international consortium, including partners from Ireland, Cyprus, Poland, Romania, and Italy, to lay the foundation for a three-year collaboration for a transformative three-year collaboration in digital education and well-being.

Over the next 36 months, GLITTER will develop and test a whole-school approach that integrates innovative, evidence-based tools to support digital well-being in primary, lower, and upper secondary education. These tools will be piloted in 20 schools across Europe, helping educators create safer, more inclusive, and empowering digital environments for young learners.

During the meeting, partners discussed the project’s objectives, mapped out best practices, and planned the development of practical tools that educators can implement in the classroom. They also explored ways to connect policy, research, and educational practice to ensure effectiveness and long-term impact.

With strong collaboration and a shared vision, GLITTER aims to help every child thrive in the digital age. Stay tuned for more updates, pilot activities, and resources as the project progresses.

GLITTER – Strengthening Learners’ Digital Well-being Using Effective Teaching Practices and Digital Environments

The main goal of GLITTER initiative is to support evidence-informed policy at European level by developing and testing a whole school approach that brings several evidence-based tools and practices into a coherent whole to enhance digital well-being in and through school education.

The main goal will be achieved through the following specific objectives:

  1. Identify best practices and case studies conducted at International, European, national, and regional levels which champions digital wellbeing in schools;
  2. Define a whole school approach to digital wellbeing and practical instruments that can promote wellbeing in digital education environments;
  3. Pilot, test, evaluate and refine the GLITTER practical instruments and explore the effectiveness of a whole school approach to digital wellbeing in a range of different subjects and age groups in schools in four EU countries;
  4. Develop policy recommendations aimed at promoting a culture of digital wellbeing in and through education at primary, lower and upper secondary levels;
  5. Increase visibility of the project outcomes and maximize the impact of the project.

GLITTER will provide a better understanding of the concept of digital wellbeing in and through education at primary, lower and upper secondary levels with the aim of gaining evidence-based and contextual knowledge towards sustainable integration of research results into the school practices, teacher education and educational policy. It will design and pilot in 20 primary and secondary schools from 4 EU countries – Cyprus, Italy, Poland and Romania – practical instruments and practices for a digital wellbeing whole school approach aimed to pursue the wellbeing of children and young people in order to maximize their potential and self-realization and supporting their empowerment and safety in online environments.
