Successful Piloting of Grey4Green Project Empowers Senior Citizens for Climate Action
The Grey4Green Project, an innovative initiative focused on promoting active ageing through climate action, celebrated a successful pilot and multiplier event on Thursday, October 31st. Held at Materia Care Home, the event offered seniors a chance to participate in activities centered around nature conservation and sustainable living.
Throughout the event, senior residents engaged in interactive sessions aimed at fostering environmentally friendly lifestyles. Guided by the project’s modules, participants explored meaningful ways to contribute to climate action, all while enhancing their physical and mental well-being. These modules are accessible on the e-learning platform of the project.
The pilot sessions provided residents with valuable insights into sustainable practices, inspiring them to become active contributors to climate resilience within their communities. Grey4Green illustrated the vital role senior citizens can play in climate action, enriching their lives and connecting them to the broader mission of nature conservation—bridging the gap between active ageing and impactful climate advocacy.
