SOCI@LL: Implementation of the second igniting event in Cyprus

CARDET in collaboration with the Municipality of Agios Athanasios and the Grammar School held, on Tuesday the 12th of November, SOCI@LL’s second igniting event. The event took place at the Neapolis High School and served as an opportunity for the implementing partners to present the main findings and work of the project and most importantly raise awareness about SOCI@LL’s scope and objectives.

During the event, participants had the opportunity to learn more about the three toolkits SOCI@LL has developed for school leaders, teachers and local authorities. Each toolkit serves as a guiding resource supporting each respective group to take up action to promote inclusiveness, collaboration and foster innovation, multicultural learning and civic participation.

SOCI@LL is built-on a five-step participatory approach with each of its steps having clear objectives and aiming to produce relevant and useful resources for schools and communities. Ultimately it seeks to support students’ learning through culturally sensitive curricula, enhance the socio-educational and intercultural competencies of teachers in a bid to foster a democratic and inclusive culture of schools and establish cross-sectoral alliances between schools and local inclusion actors.
