The Sports and Environmental Education Package of the Green League project aims to build the skills of sports professionals by promoting physical activity in outdoor spaces as a tool for education on environmental issues. The package contributes to understanding the impact of sports on the environment as well as to designing and practicing sports in harmony with the protection and conservation of nature and the environment as a whole.
The package includes:
- Characteristics of ecosystems,
- How sports practice creates potential threats to various ecosystems,
- The legislative framework and guidelines at the EU level,
- How sports both positively and negatively impact the environment,
- How you can organize and implement sports activities and events in harmony with the environment,
- Awareness of the importance of “green” sports practices.
