CARDET signed the INTEGRA Protocol pledging to support children in care

CARDET proudly announces that it has signed the INTEGRA Protocol with Hope for Children CRC Policy Centre committing its support to its efforts to support and guide children in care to become independent adults. The Protocol was signed, during a signing ceremony held on the 23rd of October at the Olympic Hall, by multiple civil society organizations and private companies that pledge their support for the cause and objectives of Project Integra.

The INTEGRA Program reflects the need for support and guidance to children in care in order to become independent adults. The project addresses children coming from residential care systems and young care leaver, as they should not be deprived of the opportunity for development. Through the workings of the project, a platform will be developed to provide children an opportunity for personal development and the chance to attain skills and knowledge necessary to become independent.

Following the signing of the Protocol, CARDET’s Executive Director Charalambos Vrasidas stated: “We perceive the signing of the protocol as an excellent opportunity for us to reaffirm our commitment in supporting children in transition and to do our utmost to contribute to the wellbeing of those in need. A pledge that has been central to our work and mission. We are excited to join forces and further our collaboration with the Hope for Children as well as the other co-signers of the Protocol.”
