Ο εκπαιδευτικός οργανισμός CARDET με τη στήριξη του Κυπριακού Συνδέσμου Διεύθυνσης Ανθρώπινου Δυναμικού (Κυ.Συ.Δ.Α.Δ) και του Συμβουλίου Νεολαίας Κύπρου (ΣΝΚ) σας προσκαλούν στο διεθνές συνέδριο «Απασχόληση, άγχος και ευημερία των εργαζομένων: Ενδυνάμωση των νέων για τη διαχείριση του εργασιακού άγχους» που θα πραγματοποιηθεί στο Ξενοδοχείο Classic στη Λευκωσία την Παρασκευή, 11 Οκτωβρίου 2019 (09:00–1300).

Κατά τις εργασίες του συνεδρίου θα παρουσιασθούν και θα συζητηθούν οι παράγοντες που προκαλούν σε αυξανόμενο εργασιακό στρες, κυρίως στους νεοεισερχόμενους στην αγορά εργασίας, και εργαλεία και πρακτικές για τη διαχείριση και αντιμετώπιση του.

Το Συνέδριο θα πραγματοποιηθεί στα ελληνικά, ενώ θα προσφέρονται υπηρεσίες μετάφρασης, και διοργανώνεται στο πλαίσιο του ευρωπαϊκού έργου “BooStress: Boosting the skills of youth to deal with stress at work”, υπ’ αριθμόν 2017-2-CY02-KA205-001073, που συχρηματοδοτείται από το πρόγραμμα Erasmus+ της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης μέσω του Οργανισμού Νεολαίας Κύπρου.

SAVE THE DATE! [04/10/2019] International BooStress Conference: “Work, Stress and Employee Well-being”

The Centre for the Advancement of Research and Development in Educational Technology (CARDET) with the support of the Cyprus Human Resource Management Association (CyHRMA) and the Cyprus Youth Council (CYC) invite you to the international conference “Work, Stress and Employee Well-being: Empowering youth to manage stress at work” to be held at the Classic Hotel in Nicosia on Friday, October 11, 2019 (09:00-1300).

During the conference, we will present and discuss the factors that cause increased work-related stress, especially to new entrants to the labor market, and tools and practices for managing and dealing with it.

The conference will be held in Greek, while equipment for interpretation in English will be available. It is organized in the frame of the European project “BooStress: Boosting the skills of youth to deal with stress at work”, no. 2017-2-CY02-KA205-001073, co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union through the Cyprus Youth Organization.

CARDET successfully pilots ADMIRE’s resources

CARDET organized two workshops on 19th and 20th of September to present the work and outputs of the ADMIRE project. The two workshops also served as an excellent opportunity for the project team to receive feedback and suggestions in a bid to hone and finalize the resources ADMIRE has developed to support migrant integration experts.

The first workshop, held at the Dignity Centre in Nicosia, served as a pilot for the Project’s Curriculum delving into ‘Media’s Narrative on Migration and the effect it has on people’s perceptions and was attended by migrants and refugees who reside in Cyprus. During the workshop, participants were walked through the scope, objectives and outputs of the project and carried out group discussions with the support of the facilitator. Upon the completion of the workshop, they were asked to evaluate the workshop and the resources presented providing invaluable insights and information both for ADMIRE to finalize its work as well as for future relevant actions and project.

Subsequently, the second meeting, attended by migrant integrations experts (project managers, educators, trainers), that served as a pilot event of the project’s Induction Training, was held on Friday the 20th of September at the Offices of CARDET. During the workshop, ADMIRE’s project manager, presented introduced the project, explaining the rationale upon which it was built and was delivered and presented the resources it has made available to support them in their work. Consecutively, he opened the floor for the exchange of views as to challenges and problems in regards to migrant integration that require further support and investment in the future.

DEHORS (DEveloping innovative learning contexts in pre-scHools’ OutdooR Spaces)

DEHORS is an innovative project through which the 4 countries involved (Sweden, Italy, Latvia and Cyprus) aim at fostering the development of innovative learning contexts in pre-schools’ outdoor spaces. The project focuses on the fact that outdoor activities can regularly take place in pre-schools, however their quality particularly in terms of learning needs to be improved. The partnership of the project believes there is a need to reflect and improve the pedagogical use of outdoor spaces of pre-schools and focuses on the lack of methods and knowledge among ECEC (Early Childhood Education and Care) professionals regarding the design and the best use of outdoor learning environments. The planning of new and/or the use of existing outdoor spaces in pre-schools, requires a broader and innovative perspective, which builds on the expertise and knowledge of several other actors such as architects, engineers, landscape designer, agronomists. The partners of the project believe that pre-school teachers should follow more innovative training paths and develop new learning materials in relation to learning outdoor, equipping them with new knowledge and competences.

DEHORS aims to improve pre-school quality by developing and enhancing knowledge about the design and planning of stimulating learning environments outdoors.

The specific objectives pursued by the project are:

  • To improve the quality of children’s learning through innovative outdoor learning environment
  • To improve pre-school teacher’s skills and strategies about outdoor activities
  • To design innovative outdoor learning spaces by bringing together expertise from different fields.

Έξυπνοι αισθητήρες για την μέτρηση της ποιότητας του αέρα στη Λευκωσία

Στην εγκατάσταση φορητών αισθητήρων μέτρησης της ποιότητας του αέρα σε 5 σημεία στη Λευκωσία, προχώρησε ο ερευνητικός οργανισμός CARDET στο πλαίσιο του έργου AIRTHINGS. Οι εν λόγω αισθητήρες θα μετρούν τα επίπεδα σωματιδίων (PM2.5, PM10), CO, NO2, τη θερμοκρασία, την υγρασία και την περιβαλλοντική πίεση συμβάλλοντας στην πιο αξιόπιστη καταγραφή της ποιότητας του αέρα στην πρωτεύουσα. Το κοινό θα μπορεί να έχει πρόσβαση στις μετρήσεις μεσα από εφαρμογή που θα αναπτυχθεί τους αμέσως επόμενους μήνες.

Η τοποθέτηση των αισθητήρων έγινε σε συνεργασία με τους Δήμους Λακατάμειας, Έγκωμης, Λατσιών, Στροβόλου και τη Βουλή κατά τρόπο που επιτρέπει την κάλυψη των βασικών αστικών περιοχών της επαρχίας Λευκωσίας. Επιπρόσθετα, τα σημεία, στα οποία εγκαταστάθηκαν τα συστήματα μέτρησης, επιλέχθηκαν με κριτήριο την έντονη κυκλοφοριακή κίνηση, η οποία αποτελεί την κύρια πηγή ρύπανσης στο νησί μας. Οι νέοι αυτοί αισθητήρες έρχονται να προστεθούν στο υφιστάμενο δίκτυο των μόνιμα εγκατεστημένων σταθμών μετρήσεων του Τμήματος Επιθεώρησης Εργασίας, εκ των οποίων δύο βρίσκονται στη Λευκωσία.

Βασική επιδίωξη του AIRTHINGS που συγχρηματοδοτείται από το ταμείο Interreg V-B Balkan-Mediterranean 2014-2020 είναι η ενημέρωση και ευαισθητοποίηση του κοινού για θέματα ατμοσφαιρικής ρύπανσης, ώστε να αποτελέσουν μοχλό πίεσης στους αρμόδιους φορείς για τη λήψη μέτρων για τη μείωση των ρύπων. Προς αυτή την κατεύθυνση, το πρόγραμμα έχει προχωρήσει με την εγκατάσταση των αισθητήρων και προγραμματίζει τη δημιουργία μιας εύχρηστης εφαρμογής που θα δώσει την ευκαιρία στους πολίτες να έχουν πρόσβαση σε γενικές πληροφορίες για την ποιότητα του αέρα, σε ζωντανές μετρήσεις και να λαμβάνουν ειδοποιήσεις και εισηγήσεις, όταν τα επίπεδα ρύπων είναι υψηλά.

Το CARDET σας προσκαλεί σε σεμινάριο με τίτλο «Διευκολύνοντας την προσαρμογή του ανθρώπινου δυναμικού στο χώρο εργασίας» στα πλαίσια του προγράμματος BeOld (www.beold.eu). ERASMUS+ GOES VIRTUAL!

In September 2019, the partners of the erasmus+ VRinSight project held their first virtual project meeting. The partners met to experience virtual reality first hand and discuss how to implement VR into education and business. The meeting gave the project partners an opportunity to test VR headsets and the meeting was facilitated by an online virtual platform.

This event marks the first of many VR meetings that the project partnership are planning. The next real world project meeting is set for Bilbao, Spain in October where the partners will discuss the next steps of the VRinSight project and the implementation of a VR training programme for higher education
