In the context of the BeOld project, CARDET has developed a training package which will provide trainers, vocational counselors, adult educators working with older workers with resources and methodologies to improve older workers’ employability and opportunities to develop new career paths. Project Update
The innovative online platform, developed by InEuropa srl in cooperation with partners, has been tested in all partner countries with young dropouts. The feedback from the piloting allowed partners to finalise the online self-capacitating and networking platform.
The main purpose of this online platform, which is available in all partners’ languages, is to bridge the gap between the labour market and disadvantaged youth, by tackling their skills mismatches.
Moreover, the ebook of the Drop In project will be available on early July through IARS Publications. The ebook will present the main outcomes of the project in all participating countries, through the research results, workshops and events that took place in the context of the Drop In project. Project partners developed the full chapters of the ebook in their respective national languages (English, Greek, Italian and Romanian), while the executive summaries are available in English.
Invitation to our Closing Conference
The Drop In International Closing Conference will take place in London (UK) on Tuesday July 16th, 2019 during the 7th IARS International Conference. This high profile CPD accredited event aims to push the barriers of national and European policy making and practice through the presentation of evidence-based solutions, and by allowing the voices that are rarely heard to lead debates that matter. The first day of the conference is dedicated to the results of the Drop In project and will focus on developing tools that allow the re-introduction of early school leavers and dropouts into informal learning based on an innovative, tailor-made capacity-building model. There will be 200 euros available for bursaries to attend an international Conference. You can find more information here.
London Transnational Partners’ Meeting
IARS will organise and host in its headquarters the 4th and final Transnational Partners Meeting on the 15th of July 2019. During the meeting partners will have the opportunity to reflect on project’s outcomes and results, discuss about the collaboration they had these two years and how to build upon the project’s legacy in the near future.
The Project Legacy
The tangible legacy of the project is the Drop In self-capacitating and networking platform, available in 4 languages. The platform gives the opportunity to those young people who are interested, to develop some basic skills through the digital courses, in order to increase their potential for social inclusion and self-sustainability. The platform will be available even after the end of the project. In parallel, the Drop In project achieved to raise awareness about the young dropouts and early school leavers in all partners’ countries through the research, training and dissemination activities. The main scope was to give to those young people more opportunities and the Drop In project worked on that.
The Project is funded by the European Commission and runs for 24 months (September 2017 – August 2019).

Τα Νέα μας
Η εκπαιδευτική ηλεκτρονική πλατφόρμα, την οποία δημιούργησε η ‘InEuropa’ σε συνεργασία με τους εταίρους του έργου, δοκιμάστηκε πιλοτικά από νέους που εγκατέλειψαν πρόωρα το σχολείο σε όλες τις χώρες που συμμετέχουν στο έργο. Η πιλοτική δοκιμή βοήθησε τους εταίρους να προχωρήσουν στην τελειοποίηση της πλατφόρμας.
Ο κύριος στόχος της πλατφόρμας, η οποία διατίθεται σε όλες τις γλώσσες των εταίρων του έργου, είναι να μειώσει το χάσμα μεταξύ της αγοράς εργασίας και της μειονεκτούσας ομάδας νεαρών ατόμων, συνδέοντας τις ανάγκες της αγοράς με τις δεξιότητες των νέων.
Επιπρόσθετα, το ηλεκτρονικό βιβλίο του έργου θα είναι έτοιμο από τις εκδόσεις του οργανισμού IARS στις αρχές Ιουλίου. Το βιβλίο θα παρουσιάσει όλες τις έρευνες, δράσεις κ αποτελέσματα του έργου σε όλες τις χώρες που συμμετέχουν σε αυτό. Η περίληψη κάθε χώρας θα είναι στα αγγλικά, ενώ το πλήρες κεφάλαιο κάθε εταίρου θα είναι στην τοπική γλώσσα (αγγλικά, ιταλικά, ελληνικά και ρουμάνικα).
Πρόσκληση στο τελικό μας Συνέδριο
Το τελικό συνέδριο Drop In θα πραγματοποιηθεί στο Λονδίνο την Τρίτη 16 Ιουλίου 2019 κατά τη διάρκεια του 7ου Διεθνούς Συνεδρίου IARS. Το συνέδριο προσφέρει πιστοποίηση από τον φορέα CPD και στοχεύει να προτείνει λύσεις σε εθνικό και ευρωπαϊκό επίπεδο για προβλήματα που ταλανίζουν τους νέους αλλά και νέες ευκαιρίες για εργασία και κοινωνική ένταξη. Η πρώτη μέρα του συνεδρίου είναι αφιερωμένη στα αποτελέσματα του έργου Drop-in και θα επικεντρωθεί στην ανάπτυξη εργαλείων που επιτρέπουν την επανένταξη νέων που εγκατέλειψαν πρόωρα την εκπαίδευση μέσω της άτυπης μάθησης με βάση ένα καινοτόμο και προσαρμοσμένο μοντέλο δεξιοτήτων. Διακρατική Συνάντηση στο Λονδίνο
Ο IARS θα διοργανώσει και θα φιλοξενήσει την τέταρτη και τελική διακρατική συνάντηση των εταίρων στις 15 Ιουλίου 2019. Κατά τη διάρκεια της συνάντησης, οι εταίροι θα έχουν την ευκαιρία να αναλύσουν και να αξιολογήσουν τα αποτελέσματα του έργου, να συζητήσουν για τη συνεργασία που είχαν τα δύο αυτά χρόνια, καθώς και πώς μπορεί να αξιοποιηθεί η κληρονομιά του έργου στο εγγύς μέλλον.
Η κληρονομιά του έργου
Η κληρονομιά του έργου είναι η ηλεκτρονική εκπαιδευτική πλατφόρμα Drop-in, διαθέσιμη σε 4 γλώσσες. Η πλατφόρμα δίνει τη δυνατότητα σε νέους να αναπτύξουν κάποιες βασικές δεξιότητες μέσω των ψηφιακών μαθημάτων, προκειμένου να αυξήσουν τις πιθανότητες τους για είσοδο στην αγορά εργασίας και κοινωνική ένταξη. Η πλατφόρμα θα είναι διαθέσιμη και μετά το τέλος του έργου. Παράλληλα, το έργο Drop-in κατάφερε να ευαισθητοποιήσει νέους που εγκαταλείπουν πρόωρα σχολείο σε όλες τις χώρες των εταίρων μέσω δραστηριοτήτων έρευνας, εκπαίδευσης και επικοινωνίας. Κύριος στόχος ήταν να δοθούν σε αυτούς τους νέους περισσότερες ευκαιρίες και έργο εργάστηκε προς αυτή την κατεύθυνση.

The overall aim of the VRInsight European project is to boost the use of VR applications within HE business management and related studies and to contribute to reaching the digitalisation goals set by the European Commission.
This report summarizes the findings from the 3 surveys that were conducted in all partner countries with the aim to give a clear picture about the state of the art in the field of VR developments and learn about frameworks, demands, needs, experiences, attitudes and mindsets within Higher Education Institutes and SMEs with regards to applying VR solutions
DiCultYouth: Digitisation and Culture for new generations project held its second partner meeting in the Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina on the 2nd and 3rd of July 2019. In the meeting, the partners discussed the current state and future steps of the project, including the development of an online game.
Aiming to boost the digital skills and employability among young people with background in humanitarian studies, the new game will be based on ideas and resources collected in workshops in each country of the consortium. The project’s partnership will also create an e-Learning training course. The two outputs will contribute to the goal of the project to develop and further synergies between the creative sectors of culture, education and technology to help enhance digital learning, skills and employability of young people.
The next meeting of the project will take place in March 2020 in Athens, Greece.

The “Return Network of Third Country Nationals – ReNet” has commenced its work and invites individuals and organizations to register and support its bid to promote the co-operation between stakeholders involved in forced and voluntary returns at the local, European, and international level. The project is being implemented with the support of the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund of the European Commission and the Republic of Cyprus and registrations can be carried out through the Network’s website.
ReNet has been developed as part of the ongoing efforts of the European Union to support Third –Country Nationals (TCNs) to return to their country of origin. It responds to the need to set in place structures and approaches that, through extensive cooperation between all actors involved in migration issues, will facilitate this process ensuring a humanitarian approach and with full respect for human rights.
The project will run for 12 months and will work towards developing a collaborative framework for organizations and stakeholders in the field of migration as well as promote with the countries of origin of the TCNs. The implementing team also highlights that the information of the registered members will be treated as confidential and will be used solely for the purposes of operating the network, in accordance with the European Union GDPR regulations.

Project CivAct achieved its overall objective to contribute to fostering a European inclusive citizenship and improve conditions for civic and democratic participation at union level by engaging European Citizens across Europe in discussions relating to the main discourse of the day: migration and refugees and how participation in the EU democratic processes can open the road to an intercultural society based on the ideal of universal human rights.
