Business Development & Partnerships Manager
(Full-time – Hybrid/ partly remote)
CARDET is interested in hiring an experienced, passionate and visionary Business Development & Partnerships Manager. This role is pivotal in driving the organization’s growth and expansion through identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities. The successful candidate will collaborate with other teams to capture innovative ideas, analyse market trends, implement strategic

Main Duties and Responsibilities of the Role
- Manage the full business development lifecycle, from lead identification to proposal submission and contract closure.
- Develop, implement and oversee the business development initiatives, proposals, business sales regarding training offers and other services, fulling utilising HRDA and other appropriate funds.
- Identify new markets, trends, customers and opportunities for business expansion.
- Build and maintain strong collaborations with key stakeholders (e.g. corporate clients, government agencies, educational institutions).
- Expand the client base by promoting the organisation’s services and products through networking, lead generation and relationship management.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop proposals tailored to client needs.
- Lead the preparation, submission and management of tenders and funding applications, ensuring compliance with requirements and deadlines.
- Lead and mentor the training and business development team, fostering a positive and motivating work environment.
- Oversee team performance, provide feedback and ensure smooth collaboration across departments.
- Ensure that financial targets and revenue goals are met by monitoring sales performance and adjusting strategies as necessary.
- Set-up metrics, collect information and prepare relevant reports on the development initiatives, proposals, business sales.
- Represent the organisation at conferences, meetings and industry events to network with potential clients and partners.
- Build and maintain a strong network of contacts to identify business opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategies for after-sales services to ensure continued client satisfaction.
Qualifications, knowledge and experience
- Bachelor ’s degree in Business , Finance, Management, Marketing, IT or other related field (MBA is a plus).
- Master’s degree in a related field would be considered an advantage
- Proven experience in business development roles, particularly in identifying and pursuing new markets, fostering partnerships and managing client relationships.
- Demonstrated success in bid/tender writing, managing and delivering tender applications, including thorough understanding of funding requirements and bid processes.
- Experience in developing and executing growth strategies, particularly in training, digital solutions, and consulting services would be considered an asset.
- Government tender and funding knowledge will be considered an advantage.
- Experience with leading, managing and coordinating teams.
