TEAMWORK2: CARDET Contributes to EU Roundtable on Workplace Harassment

On January 28, 2025, CARDET actively participated in the EU Roundtable “Empowering Safe Spaces: Ending Workplace Harassment”, hosted by the Diesis Network in collaboration with the TEAMWORK2 Consortium Partners. The event, held at the EVBB in Brussels with hybrid participation, brought together 25 key stakeholders, including representatives from European social partners, business networks, civil society organizations, and EU advisory bodies.

The roundtable aimed to advance the EU Gender Equality Strategy by fostering collaboration to prevent, address, and eliminate sexual harassment in the workplace. CARDET’s HR Manager and Trainer, Kiki Kallis, served as the Moderator for Panel 3: Raising Awareness Through Education – The Importance of Life-Long Learning, which explored the role of education in creating safer and more inclusive workplaces. Esteemed speakers included Veronica Arduino (Life-Long Learning Platform), Aloizia Moschovakou and Nikos Moraitis (IVEPE-SEV), Alessia Sebillo (Diesis Network), and Alfred Pallarca (EVBB). The panel examined innovative training approaches, lifelong learning strategies, and capacity-building initiatives essential for ensuring workplace safety and gender equality.

The event concluded with an interactive workshop aimed at developing a shared action plan, utilizing the MENTI platform to foster collaboration among participants. This session focused on crafting recommendations for policy enhancements, institutional support, and ongoing joint advocacy efforts.
