Switch Off Project Concludes with Workshop at KPMG

The Switch Off project recently hosted a successful workshop at a seminar organised by CARDET at KPMG, focusing on innovative strategies to promote digital wellbeing and a healthy work-life balance. The event brought together a diverse group of managers, team leaders, HR professionals, and remote workers.

A key highlight of the workshop was the presentation of the Switch Off Toolkit, designed to help employers and HR professionals implement best practices and policies that support employees in disconnecting from work outside of working hours. The toolkit also provides remote workers with practical tips for effectively managing digital technologies and reducing work-related stress during off hours.

Participants were introduced to the project’s training programme, which consists of seven modules offering valuable insights into creating a supportive work environment that respects the right to disconnect. These modules provide practical guidance for managers and HR professionals on responsible technology use and strategies to help their teams maintain a healthy work-life balance.

The seminar also showcased the project’s eLearning platform, a key resource developed to help both managers and employees enhance their digital wellbeing. This platform, soon to be available online, offers a wide range of learning materials and resources aimed at fostering healthier digital habits.

Lastly, attendees had the opportunity to explore the Self-Evaluation Tool, which provides personalised tips and allows both remote workers and managers to assess their current practices, identifying areas that may hinder their ability to improve work-life balance.
