STEAM4LIFE Project Celebrates Success at Final Conference in Berlin

The STEAM4LIFE project, dedicated to empowering women in Higher Education within STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) fields, officially concluded with a two-day event at FHM University in Berlin, on November 12-13, 2024. The final partner meeting kicked off the first day, followed by a successful closing conference on the second day, which was well attended.

This event served to raise awareness about the project’s key objectives, foster collaboration among stakeholders, and showcase its impactful results. Throughout its course, STEAM4LIFE aimed to build the capacity of educators to deliver hands-on, gender-inclusive STEAM activities and develop resources that promote women’s empowerment in these critical fields.

Key deliverables included the STEAM4LIFE Guide, which offers guidance and mentoring materials, and an e-Learning Environment that provides training tools and open educational resources (OERs). These resources are designed to boost confidence, encourage participation, and support women in considering STEAM-related careers. Additionally, the project developed a comprehensive training course for educators and industry leaders aimed at engaging more women in STEAM disciplines.

This final event marked the culmination of efforts to increase women’s interest in the digital sector and promote gender equality in education, leaving a legacy that inspires future initiatives.
