Learning from Tourism SMEs Across Europe: fuTOURiSME Final Peer Learning Workshop

As part of the final event of the fuTOURiSME project, CARDET joined tourism SMEs and project partners from across Europe for a Peer Learning Workshop, bringing together 25 selected projects from Cyprus, Spain, Italy, Greece and France.
The workshop marked an important opportunity to reflect on the experiences and achievements of tourism SMEs supported throughout the project, while creating space for participants to exchange practical solutions, lessons learned and ideas for the future.
Each participating SME presented its journey, outlining the challenge it identified, the solution or practice introduced, the results achieved, the lessons learned and the next steps ahead. This practical approach encouraged participants to share their experiences openly and explore how successful approaches could be adapted to different tourism contexts across Europe.

About fuTOURiSME
fuTOURiSME is a European project supporting tourism SMEs in their transition towards more sustainable, digital and innovative business models. The project brings together partners and tourism businesses from several European countries, providing SMEs with opportunities to develop and test new solutions, strengthen their digital capabilities and adopt more sustainable practices.
Through practical support, collaboration and peer learning, fuTOURiSME aims to help tourism SMEs respond to the changing needs of the sector while strengthening their competitiveness and contributing to more sustainable tourism ecosystems across Europe.
The final Peer Learning Workshop provided a fitting conclusion to this collaborative journey, bringing together the businesses and organisations involved to celebrate progress, reflect on lessons learned and strengthen connections across the European tourism community.
CARDET thanks all presenters, participating SMEs and project partners for their valuable contributions, openness and commitment throughout the project. The experiences shared during the workshop demonstrated the value of collaboration and peer learning in supporting tourism SMEs to turn sustainability and digital transformation into practical action.
