CARDET was officially registered in 2004, to promote education as a force of change and help shape a better world.
2005
JOINED MICROSOFT’S LEARNING PARTNERS PROGRAMME
CARDET was honored to receive the support of Microsoft’s Partners in Learning program to deliver a series of innovative activities – School of the Future, empowerICT, Evaluation of PiL.
2006
COOPERATION WITH UNDP
With the support of UNDP, CARDET implemented Capacity Building, Environmental Education and Technology Integration in Education projects in Cyprus.
2010
1ST CYPRIOT NGO TO LEAD A EUROPEAID PROJECT
CARDET was the first Cypriot NGO to be granted the opportunity to lead the implementation of a EuropeAid project – the ‘Raising Awareness on Development Cooperation.
2015
SIGNED AN MOU WITH YALE
Signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the YALE School of Public Health to collaborate in research, education and development in the Euro-Mediterranean region and beyond.
2018
DELIVERED THE 1ST LARGE-SCALE EDUCATION POLICY EXPERIMENT IN CYPRUS
Designed and coordinated the first large-scale educational policy experiment implemented in Cyprus, SWPBS, covering more than 100 schools and engaging 2,000 teachers and 10,000 students.
2020
INTRODUCED THE CYPRUS EDUCATION SUMMIT
CARDET launched the Cyprus Education Summit, the leading annual conference in Cyprus exploring realities, trends and innovative solutions in Education.
2021
COMPILED CYPRUS’ LIFELONG LEARNING STRATEGY
In partnership with EAEA and MOEC, CARDET developed the Republic of Cyprus’ Lifelong Learning Strategy 2021-202.
2022
DRAFTED CYPRUS’ STRATEGY FOR CITIZEN PARTICIPATION
In partnership with Cyprus’ Commissioner for Citizen, CARDET prepared the Republic of Cyprus’ National Strategy on ‘Active Citizenship and Participatory Governance’.
