CARDET is proud to announce, under the project fuTOURiSME, an Open Call for Innovative Projects that promote sustainable, digital and inclusive tourism.

Projects that promote sustainable, digital, and inclusive tourism. The Centre invites small and medium-sized (SMEs) tourism enterprises to express their interest and submit innovative solutions (products, processes, services and/or business models) to benefit from the funding provided by the project – €30.000 funding (excluding VAT) – enhance their twin (green and digital) transition process.

The fuTOURiSME funding programme seeks to:

  • Drive forward the transformation of the tourism sector.
  • Promote and foster digital and green solutions for SMEs
  • Equip beneficiaries with the skills and financial support to skills needed to leverage opportunities arising from the twin transition
  • Encourage the adoption of digital and sustainable technologies that have a positive impact on both their business operations and the environment.

Funding Available to Cypriot Tourism SMEs

The fuTOURiSME project will support 12 innovative projects in Cyprus with a lump sum of €30.000 (excluding VAT) per innovative project


Important Dates

  • Call Opening – 16 September 2024, 09:00 CET
  • Info Event – 16.10 
  • Deadline for the Submission of Proposals – 27 November 2024, 17:00 CET

Eligible Participants

  • Single tourism SMEs;
  • A partnership of minimum two (2) and maximum four (4) tourism SMEs;
  • A partnership comprising minimum two (2) and  maximum (4) partners, including minimum one  (1) tourism SME and minimum one (1) public or private entity that is/are instrumental for the  tourism SME(s) to realise the project;
  • Applicants must be registered in Greece, Italy, Spain, France or Cyprus.

Submission Process

  • Read the Open Call – Terms of Reference and familiarise yourself with the objectives and eligible actions of the funding programme. Please ensure that you meet the criteria for funding set
  • Attend the programme’s online info event on the 16th of October by registering here to get additional information and ask questions. If you need any further clarifications please contact our Project Manager Marios Demosthenous at marios.demosthenous@cardet.org
  • Complete the online submission form of the programme

    • If you are applying as a single entity (SME) please use the application form here
    • If you are applying for funding as a partnership (two or more SMEs) please use the application form here
  • Upload Required Documents:  For the needs of your application, you need to provide:

    *If you are applying as a partnership, it is essential to provide a signed Declaration of Honor and a Certificate of Company Registration for each member of the consortium.

    You may also upload additional documents (e.g. images, graphs, certifications) that can further enhance your application.

  • Submit your application. Once your application is submitted, our evaluation team will review it and will contact you to coordinate on the next steps of the process.
