REMAC Recognised as a Best Practice at the Erasmus Days 2026 Festival in Cyprus

The REMAC project (Reinventing Mainstream Classrooms) has been recognised as a Best Practice for 2026 at the festival celebrating 10 years of Erasmus Days, held on Saturday, 17 October 2026, at the Central Square of Paralimni. The event was organised by the Foundation for the Management of European Lifelong Learning Programmes (IDEP) in collaboration with the Municipality of Paralimni.
Held under the theme “Learning and Evolving: Skills for Tomorrow”, the festival brought together more than 30 interactive information booths representing organisations and schools that showcased the results and impact of their Erasmus+ projects. The event provided an opportunity to highlight innovative educational initiatives and celebrate European cooperation in lifelong learning.
A key moment of the evening was the official awards ceremony, during which REMAC received recognition for its contribution to educational innovation and inclusive teaching practices. The ceremony also celebrated achievements through the European Innovative Teaching Award (EITA), the European Language Label (ELL) 2026 Awards, and the eTwinning 2026 Student Competition.
Reinventing mainstream classrooms through inclusive language education
REMAC aims to transform mainstream classrooms by providing innovative educational resources and good practices that support second-language teaching and learning. The project addresses the challenges mainstream teachers face in responding to the diverse language needs, backgrounds and interests of migrant students.
Through the development of interactive digital learning materials using the MILAGE learn+ platform and app, REMAC supports teachers in creating more inclusive and engaging learning environments. The project also focuses on teacher training in second-language teaching methodologies and the integration of intercultural education across the curriculum.
By equipping teachers with practical tools and resources, REMAC seeks to strengthen language learning, promote intercultural understanding and support the participation of migrant students in mainstream education.
Celebrating European cooperation and educational innovation
Throughout the evening, visitors explored the participating projects, engaged with exhibitors and enjoyed a varied programme of cultural performances, traditional dances and live music. The festival celebrated the achievements of Erasmus+ initiatives and highlighted the value of collaboration in shaping future-ready educational environments.
The recognition of REMAC as a Best Practice for 2026 marks an important milestone for the project and reinforces its commitment to inclusive education, innovative teaching approaches and the development of effective resources for diverse classrooms.
The REMAC team extends its sincere thanks to IDEP, the Municipality of Paralimni, its project partners and everyone who contributed to the successful celebration of Erasmus Days 2026.
