Increasing democratic civic participation for citizens, refugees and migrants in the European Union

The necessity for direct active citizenship is the democratic link between the millions of European, 3rd Country Nationals and refugees who live in the EU, with the European Union institutions. The project CivAct will carry out activities such as conduct national needs analysis, promote intercultural engagement and volunteering, promote opportunities for a better understanding of the Union policy making – process, hold national conferences with debates for the integration and the preparation and implement of international seminars for an intercultural engagement. By implementing these activities partners will create a healthy space for discussions on the role of the European Institutions, the European Identity and how EU democracy functions based on collective engagement.
