Intercultural Mentoring tools to support migrant integration at school (INTO)
The INTO project aims to promote strategies and methods that help students with a migrant background at risk of Early School Leaving to maintain their motivation through the development, testing and validation of an Intercultural Mentoring Programme based on the empowered peer education methodology. In fact, the project promote an innovative model that foster young people sense of initiative and motivate students with migrant background to fulfill their educational potential. The Intercultural Mentor will be able to provide support to their peers in learning, study prosecution guidance and homework’s support.
By enhancing the value of different cultures and boosting the peculiar competences, the Intercultural mentors can support, stimulate and give advice to younger peers taking advantage of their experience of migration. Migration can be enriching the educational experience of all bringing an invaluable resource to schools and deepen pedagogies, skills, and knowledge of the entire school community.
