We are therefore expanding our HR department and looking for a talented HR Officer to join our team and assist in driving our people-centric initiatives. Our HR Mission is to provide our people with positive work experiences focused on wellbeing, team spirit and appreciation of high performance in order to unlock their full potential as well as individual and organisational growth.

The HR Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the HR Department and ensuring our employees have a positive and engaging work experience. The primary objective is to assist the HR Manager in managing the overall HR operations effectively and efficiently such as:

Main Duties and Responsibilities of the role

  • Devising policies that support the group’s objectives
  • Maintaining HR Information and Applicant Tracking systems, ensuring accurate employee records
  • Maintaining HR Metrics, ensuring accurate reports for HR analytics
  • Developing job descriptions, person specifications and compelling job adverts
  • Managing end-to-end recruitment procedures
  • Organising and implementing the onboarding and mentoring processes
  • Delivering engaging new joiner induction presentations and conducting orientations
  • Creating employment contracts, employee letters, handbooks and related documentation
  • Supporting the Chief Happiness Officer and our Wellbeing committee with employee wellbeing activities
  • Participating in employee engagement initiatives and activities that promote a positive work culture, such as team building activities, recognition programs and wellness initiatives
  • Promoting equity, inclusion and diversity as part of our organisational culture
  • Interpreting and advising on employment law
  • Supporting the Training Executive with training needs and the organisation of the annual training calendar
  • Assisting the HR Manager in managing performance improvement plans
  • Responding to employee queries
  • Undertaking administration-centred activities
  • Fostering a positive employee experience through HR initiatives
  • Handling day-to-day HR administrative tasks, including maintaining employee records, managing databases and preparing reports.

We are looking for a passionate individual with a strong interest in human resources and a desire to make a difference who can demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Fluency in English and Greek language
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively
  • Pleasant personality with excellent collaboration and teamwork skills
  • Resilience and agility
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and a proactive mindset to ensure accuracy and efficiency in HR processes
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Employment law or other related field
  • Prior experience in an HR role or relevant internship experience will be considered beneficial
  • A Masters in related field would be considered an asset
  • Proficient in HR software will be considered an advantage
  • Familiarity with HR best practices and knowledge of Cyprus employment law
